I've been to several Dosa places in the bay area and this is hands down the best tasting dosa. The texture of crispy outside and the pillowy inside was so enjoyable. the chutneys were so good, not salty like some other locations and the depth of flavor for each individual part of the dish were amazing. Mainly takeout but a lot of tables inside and outside to sit. I'll be coming back for sure!
The food was so so delicious! The Ghee Podi Idly, the Chili cheese dosa and the Benne Masala dosa were our top picks! The lady at the front, Vidhya, was kind and nice! 10/10 would recommend!
We found the location a bit odd as it’s in a business center and when you enter it looks like a cafeteria, but once I tasted the dosa, sambar, and chutney I was blown away by rich delicious flavors. The dosa was so crisp and buttery, yet fluffy at the same time. Just writing this is making me hungry for more.
Tried the benne mysore dosa and it tastes the same like in Bangalore . A must visit if you want the authentic bangalore taste. However the Kesri bath was average .

I recently visited Surya Darshini during a business trip to the Bay Area after hearing my colleagues rave about it. We went on a Monday specifically to try the benne dosa, and it absolutely lived up to the hype, it was divine.
The chow chow bath was also very flavorful and satisfying. We ordered filter coffee to round out the meal, but unfortunately, that was a bit of a letdown—it tasted more like instant coffee than the rich, traditional brew I was expecting.
Overall, it was a very positive experience aside from the coffee. I would definitely visit again on my future business trips to the Bay Area.
