Italian Restaurant
In 1959, Frank and Tina D’Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their “Paisans” Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original “Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original “Giorgio’s” in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as “Sash and Lou”, took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank’s four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers. Bon Appetit!!

- BFBrandon FukudaMay 10, 20265.0We went to lunch with 8 people on mother's, and called ahead and they said no reservations first come first serve. We come early and are 2nd in line. We get inside and the guy at the front is like cant do big parties. We have been booked for 3 weeks. Can't seat you till 3pm. So we're like uh okay can we split into 2 tables? And he's like well you're going to be on opposite sides of the restaurant and we're like fine. So they seat us and we just ask a waiter if we can sit next to each other and he obliges. The whole time we are there, the big tables are empty and so is HALF THE RESTAURANT. Not sure why that had to be a big deal. HOWEVER, our waiter was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food. I am leaving a positive review, because I want the restaurant to succeed, but the guy at the front could have totally helped us out and chose not to.

Their salmon Florentine was also disappointing with an extremely watered down sauce. The toddlers enjoyed their butter drenched penne. The bread was good but very slow to come out. They were busy-ish but our server kept our drinks topped off.

The staff appeared frustrated and uninterested in helping, and even simple questions were met with noticeable attitude. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for it. It was served cold and lacked quality, which was unacceptable given the price. There is clearly a need for improvement in both customer service and food preparation. I hope management takes steps to address these issues. I won’t be returning.
