What a lovely spot! New management, new menu, new taste! We’ve been looking for a place that does authentic carbonara (no cream) and were very pleased! Will be back for sure.

Amazing food and service!!! David is so friendly and it was so nice to meet him. This is a Super cool spot. Loved the fried calamari, they put artichoke hearts and some friend green beans too which was very different and appreciated. Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff is just consistently friendly here. The handmade pasta was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the wine selection is quite good as well, their cocktails are delicious. Highly recommend the Hugo spritz here Very high quality wines here as well, we recommend getting a glass of the Pecorino, it’s clean, and good concentration. For entrees we got the chicken florenzi pasta and the porcini truffle ravioli. These were stand out dishes. Very delicious. Also their bread is super soft and warm. We will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for having us today!

Very bad experience at this restaurant. Rude staff who are driving patrons away with offensive, discriminatory remarks, something unwarranted and completely unnecessary. Food is mediocre. Place is mostly empty.

We were in Palo Alto with our son and exchange student and visiting his sister who goes to Menlo College. After a tour of the school, she walked us to the streets with shops and restaurants and we chose Roma because they had lovely outdoor seating that was obviously dog friendly. They had bowls of water and treats ready to go right when we walked up. The gentleman who greeted us (don’t know his name, he said he had been there for 4 months) immediately said “I love dogs” and gave each of our corgis a little treat. Good start! We were a bit in sticker shock at the prices (Palo Alto, so I get it), but enjoyed the vast menu options. The only photo I got was of my salmon, which was PERFECTLY cooked with a lovely grilled char. The flavors were deep and complimentary (so thankful for places that aren’t afraid to season their entrees). Every one of us (5) were absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of their dishes. The service was outstanding - best I’ve had in years. It was so nice being treated by respect and care although we had 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. If my son decides to go to Menlo, I’m coming down from Oregon and eating here every time!
