  We had a fantastic meal at Hard Times Barbecue! The tri-tip was tender and flavorful, the mac and cheese was delicious, and the cornbread was the standout—sweet, incredibly moist, and absolutely amazing. The brisket was really good too. What made the experience even better was the service. Tim, the owner, was out slicing meat, cleaning tables, and chatting with customers. He was so friendly and personable, and it was clear he genuinely cares about both the food and the people who walk through the door. The restaurant was spotless, and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

  Ok so I found this place in my travels. Hands down this place’s food was amazing. Literally The best barbecue I have ever had. All the meats were cooked perfectly and had amazing flavors. The staff service was impeccable. I will definitely return to this place and I am not from this city. It is a place you must try and I am not over exaggerating. I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures to show you because I ate everything 🙌🏼

  Best bbq I have had in a long time. The turkey was so soft and mouth watering. The beans are killer as well. I will be back for sure and we came from Sacramento. Good prices too. And the greatest part about everything was the customer service the people in there are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. Great job staff.

  Finally got a chance to try Hard Times BBQ in Marysville with family over the weekend. I've had BBQ all across the country and this was some of the best BBQ I've ever had. I had the fatty and the lean side of the brisket-both were great, perfect bark in every bite, nice rendered and smoky fat, tender meat. It was all cut to order fresh. We had half a rack of St. Louis and Baby Back ribs, these were the best ribs I've probably ever tried. Our group also had pork belly and a giant beef rib, everything was amazing. The mac & cheese and beans and cornbread were really good. Service was great, very friendly. I'd happily go back again. Highly recommend!

  HORRIBLE customer service. I told them I was having trouble hearing because of how loud the store is and they didn't care. I asked for an order of pulled pork and two orders of ribs. They only gave me one order of ribs (one container and two sides). I told them that I ordered two rib meals and they insisted that $18 was for two orders of ribs, even though I only got one plate of ribs and two sides which is exactly what the pulled pork was - one plate and two sides. I clarified again the ribs were for two people and they said it was and that I didn't need anymore. I dont understand what I did to irritate the workers but I have to say this is my least favorite store in Marysville because the staff is unhelpful and even when you ask them questions they either don't answer or the mumble even when told you can't hear them. The photo is what they said was enough ribs to feed 2 people. Maybe if the people are 10 years old. I feel like they were fat shaming since they told me "you don't need all that."
