  Phenomenal food every time. My personal favorite is the Birria pizza but gotta mix in some burritos too and it never disappoints. The staff is so friendly and helpful as well

  ✨ Esthetically pleasing space, cute ambiance, and great service! ✨ I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and the steak was seasoned beautifully—definitely the highlight of my meal. 🥩👏 I also tried the agua fresca, but unfortunately, I was a bit underwhelmed by the flavor. It didn't taste natural, and I think the restaurant would benefit from either improving the recipe or sticking to classic, freshly made aguas frescas. 🥤 The service, however, was lovely. The gentleman behind the counter was attentive, welcoming, and polite to everyone who walked in. 😊 The atmosphere also makes this a great spot to get some work done or enjoy a relaxed meal. 💻☕ I was a little disappointed to learn that the French toast concha has been discontinued. 😢 I would absolutely love to see it make a comeback so I can return and finally give it a try! 🙏🥐 Overall, a cute spot with great service and delicious food. I'll definitely be back! ⭐️

  I live fairly closet to Tacos Don Chai in Downtown Martinez and feel grateful for that. It is 100% my go to place. I had a family member arrive yesterday from New York and before we even went back to my house to settle in we stopped to get food here because I had to show her. She was blown away. I have tried almost everything on the menu at this point and all of the various meats and every time I eat here it feels like I have never tried it before. The salsas you get just top off the whole experience. Everyone there is always so friendly and welcoming and just wants you to have an exceptional experience which I do every time. Only thing that would make it even better is it were on my street.

  Service was great and I really hoped to love this place, but unfortunately it was underwhelming. Chicken and Asada Tacos: White corn tortillas tasted like store bought Guerrero. Unfortunately both the carne asada and chicken needed more flavor, more salt, and weren’t hot when we got them. Brisket Quesabirria: Also severely lacked flavor! No consomé was served with it which was disappointing; I saw later that the menu said “available upon request” which is not common practice. Salsas: The pineapple salsa had the opportunity to be unique, but again, lacked flavor. The chipotle salsa tasted like a can of chipotle in adobo blended up… Atmosphere: They had nice outdoor seating where the plants were in the back corner. Everywhere else is too hot with the clear plastic covering that seals in heat from the sun. The metal seats were heavy and sounded horrendous scraping across the concrete. These chairs are susceptible to rust which may not safe in the long run. The tables are wood and given the finish, they look unclean.
