  Upon crossing the threshold of The Grand Citadel of Safeway, one is immediately struck by the sheer, unbridled majesty of its enchanted glass portals, which part silently as if moved by the invisible hands of unseen air elementals. Stepping into the cavernous hall bathed in eternal, humming luminescence, I claimed my vessel for the quest: a four-wheeled iron chariot whose front-right caster possessed a whimsical, if deeply infuriating, mind of its own, constantly veering toward the abyss of the frozen seafood display. ​My journey commenced within the Sanctum of Flora, where soft, atmospheric music drifted from the rafters, periodically interrupted by the sudden chime of simulated thunder and a gentle, cooling mist that washed over the crisp heads of romaine like dew upon the vales of Eldoria. Here, the bounty was vast, though one must navigate the treacherous terrain with caution, lest they inadvertently select an avocado too unyielding for immediate feast or one already surrendered to soft decay. ​Veering deeper into the labyrinth, I traversed the perilous Aisle of Preserved Grains, where colorful boxes stacked to the heavens tempted passing travelers with promises of artificial sweetness and immortal shelf-lives. It was in the frigid, glaciated depths of the Chilled Dairy Vaults that my endurance was truly tested; reaching past the icy glass barriers to retrieve the sacred oat nectar chilled my fingers to the bone, a small price to pay for morning sustenance. ​At length, I approached the dreaded Altar of Self-Tribute, where automated monoliths glowed with an eerie crimson light. Placing my plunder upon the sensitive black scales, I engaged in a delicate duel of diplomacy with the construct, which repeatedly demanded I place the item in the bagging area despite my having already done so with utmost reverence. Only by invoking the Sacred Sigil of Loyalty—reciting the ten digits of my earthly telecommunication code upon the glowing rune-pad—did the altar grant me the legendary discounts promised on the yellowed parchment tags. ​I departed into the cool twilight, arms laden with translucent satchels of precious cargo, victorious in spirit, marginally poorer in coin, yet entirely convinced that no realm offers a more bewilderingly glorious expanse for the simple acquisition of bread and cheese.

  Deli service was terrible today, I should not be second in line for 20 minutes. The only person working had no sense of urgency whatsoever. This is bad for people hoping to grab food for later before a long shift. I’ve seen you do better, please do better.
