Though convenient to my home, I've found a few of the checkers to be so rude I'll only self-check and the deli department sorely lacking im professionalism and kindness over the past 6 years. In a word, this location has slid downhill terribly. And they seem to be just fine with it.
Six years ago, I witnessed 2 deli workers hurling horrific racial epithets across the counter while the target of their racism was on the other side. In the era of George Floyd and family separation, I found the two women, now gone, spewing that ugly venom particularly repugnant. I've shopped other stores ~ Ralph's MDR and Pavillions Culver City ~ and they are far more professional, more kind, and more consistently customer-friendly options.
Today two people were working behind the deli counter. There were 2 customers ~ a man and me. Though I waited right there patiently, BOTH people behind the counter helped one customer. Someone who works with the store ran up, needed something from the less busy guy who told me he couldn't help me, and the person who works with the store got what he needed on the spot while I continued to wait.
What am I missing?
I was previously mistreated by a checker whose was so rude to my face and another (a supervisor!!l) whose excuse was she was "hangry" and took it out on me while her supervisor had her back, not mine. Kinda think thus location forgets what customer service is all about. And the thing is, in 6 years, nothing at this location other than a face-lift of the interior has changed. Same subpar customer service. Same moral justification. Same enablers.
Hey y'all ... I'm the customer, a fact Pavillions MDR has consistently over years forgotten and stands toes down on. Wut?!
My coins contribute to every one their salaries ~ a consideration people who work in this location seem to have ignored for years!!. What part of customer service don't these people comprehend and why haven't they wrapped their minds around the concept for years?! Racism? Okay. Rudeness? No problem. Misogyny? Welcome to my line.
It's *this* attitude over the course of years that's driven me to the Culver City location where people who work there are genuinely happy, kind and you're treated like family. The MDR location might be more convenient for me but the customer service is in the toilet.
Never ever again.
