- MRMike ReimerSep 16, 20263.0I hate giving less than great reviews but in this situation it is warranted. We were visiting friends in Manhattan Beach for the week. They took us to here as it is their regular store for groceries. The selection in the deli was good for sandwiches and salads, etc. Our friends got several items from the deli and apparently asked for forks. My family then purchased several pasta salads and asked the deli lady for forks. She gave us 1 and said that was all she had. I then watched two other guys ask for forks after we were checking out and watched her give them forks. I confronted the deli lady about lying to me. Her response was that she had already given forks to the other group of friends. I explained to her we were a separate family and purchased our own items and It wasn’t ok to lie to a customer because she felt we didn’t need forks.The deli lady was very rude and unfortunately a poor representation of what is probably a decent local grocery store. Hopefully some remedial training in customer service will correct her behavior. We were there late morning, Monday Aug. 17th.

I thought oh hes a vendor not a worker so I kept lookingX i found the Tuna then went up front and saw him bagging groceries he does work there. I was very calm when I asked him where the Tuna was. I got angry and cussed and stormed off, I apologized to him later. Still I used to work at Safeway, Ive never treated a customer the way he treated me EVER.
