  Best poke I’ve ever had. Better than Hawaii. Also the team who works there is the absolute best. They’re accommodating, always ready quick and it’s awesome. The torched poke tuna bowl is 10/10 for me.

  🌼 HAWAI'I, USA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Consistently good and fresh poke, and an entire menu of Hawaiian favorites done with care in this beloved Manhattan Beach favorite. While your favorite spots in Honolulu supermarkets make an ungodly amount of poke each morning and sell it off rather briskly, here in Los Angeles a big tray sometimes feels risky. For that reason, the modest amounts in each of Ali’i’s poke trays seem pretty reasonable, and the consistent crowds emptying them make you know the quality is going to be level each time you visit. What might be the best part of Ali’i though, an operation that used to have locations in El Segundo and Torrance but has consolidated here in Manhattan Beach (and added a “grill” to the name), is that they offer a full range of favorites. Better yet, you can have them all in one bowl if that is to your liking. The flagship Ali’i Bowl ($21) comes with two choices of poke, two sides, and a nice portion of kalua pork all over a mound of rice. It is large enough to possibly feed two people, if you feel like sharing.

  Ali’i Hawaiian Grill has become one of my favorite poke places to eat in the South Bay. The fish is always incredibly fresh, the portions are generous, and the quality is consistently outstanding. My favorite is the Original Hawaiian Ahi. The flavor is absolutely perfect and it’s the dish I keep coming back for. The Sweet & Spicy is another excellent option if you’re looking for something with a little kick. The customer service has been outstanding every time I’ve visited. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about making your experience a great one. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and has a great atmosphere. They also have an incredible happy hour from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with $5 tacos, including chicken, pork, and poke options. They’re absolutely delicious and one of the best food deals you’ll find in the South Bay. Their Spam musubi is also fantastic and definitely worth trying. I’ve eaten at just about every poke spot in the South Bay, and Ali’i Hawaiian Grill is the one I keep coming back to. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. Do yourself a favor, give them a try, and help spread the word. They deserve the support!

  Guy and da crew were great. Poke tasted fresh and kalua pork was tender. My son loved his katsu shrimp and spicy ahi. Next time back I am going to smash that loco moco!! Bathrooms, dining areas inside and out were very clean. Da kine is ono and will be back next time we are in Hermoso Beach
