  Nobu Malibu absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is incredible, the food is consistently amazing, and the cocktails at the bar are some of the best I’ve had. The Caviar Taco and the Summer Dragon cocktail are my favorites—both are absolutely worth trying. Everything from the service to the overall vibe feels top-notch. The only downside is that it’s almost always packed, and getting a reservation can be tough—but that’s expected for a place this popular in Malibu. If you time it right, you can also enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Malibu, which makes the whole experience even more memorable. Overall, it’s an easy 10/10 and definitely worth the visit.

  Nobu Malibu never disappoints. I've been here multiple times, and every visit has been an incredible experience. The Black Cod is my absolute favorite dish—it's perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and a must-order every time I come. Beyond that, the sushi selection is outstanding, with every dish showcasing the quality and attention to detail that Nobu is known for. The oceanfront setting is absolutely stunning, making the entire dining experience even more memorable. The drinks are excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. One of the most special parts of our visit was bringing my mother-in-law here. She absolutely loved it, and it turned into a remarkable experience that our whole family will remember for a long time.

  The service is absolutely horrible 3 people sat at the front desk for absolutely nothing no one was helpful for 20 min they repeated the same thing of preparing a table and then after being seated 25 min later from our reservation seated us at the smallest table and we are a family of 5. After all of this we had this reservation booked for a month before and the table that we received was horrendous. I have been to many nobus and this has absolutely disappointed me with the service for such a high class restaurant service was very low class and for 3 people working at the front desk there was not even one of them being helpful. Will not recommend and if you are coming to nobu Malibu lower your expectations for it as it is the lowest meant to be high class restaurant.

  First time here in Malibu. Feel in love with the Rock Shrimp appetizer in Barcelona. It's great here too. We also loved the 🍣 and 🌮. Good stuff. High end atmosphere. When it's busy parking is hard. We parked down at the Malibu Mart and caught a Lyft up to bypass the long valet parking lines that lead out into the street. Get reservations well in advance!

  I had high expectations for Nobu Malibu, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. Before arriving, I called the restaurant and specifically asked if it would be possible to have an outdoor table. I was told that they could not guarantee one, which I completely understood and accepted. However, when we arrived, we were seated at one of the very back tables inside. I politely asked if there was any chance we could move outside, but I was told there were no outdoor tables available. At the same time, I could clearly see several outdoor tables sitting empty. When I asked about them, I was told they were reserved. What confused me was that when I asked how those guests were able to reserve those specific outdoor tables, I was again told that outdoor seating could not be guaranteed. That explanation simply didn’t make sense. If outdoor tables cannot be guaranteed, how were those tables apparently guaranteed for other guests? I wasn’t demanding anything—I was simply asking for clarification. Instead of receiving a reasonable explanation, the conversation became uncomfortable, and we were even told that we couldn’t speak to the staff that way, despite remaining calm and respectful throughout. We decided to leave without dining. Nobu Malibu has an incredible reputation and a beautiful location, but based on our experience, the customer service did not match that reputation. If you’re visiting only because of the social media hype and hoping for the famous outdoor experience, be aware that your actual experience may be very different.
