  One of the most beautiful restaurant experiences in Los Angeles 🌊✨ This place is pure luxury — oceanfront views, stunning interior design, elegant atmosphere and incredibly stylish people everywhere. Definitely one of those “special occasion” restaurants where everything feels premium from the first minute. The oysters were unbelievably fresh and refreshing, the lobster mashed potatoes were absolutely next level, and the wine & drinks selection was seriously impressive. Service, vibe, food, view — everything was top tier. If you’re in LA and want a truly upscale dinner by the ocean, this place is 100% worth it. Just make sure to reserve in advance… and be ready for the prices

  Very disappointed with the service. I had reservations. We were seated and it took them 20-30 mins to be acknowledged. Other people were seated and given drinks and menu. We still had no one. It was my partners bday and I just wanted to suprise him with a nice dinner. We drove 4 hours. And the service was horrible. When we got our food they were still missing one of our sides. And had ask again. The people across us also had a bday and they gave them a cake and candle. After I just told them we had a bday. And we were there before them. Manager Phillip came in to attend us. He was even our server. But he took care of us

  Mastro's Ocean Club is absolutely worth going to, and honestly one of those places you’ll want to come back to again and again. The location alone already sets the vibe, beautiful coastal energy. The dining experience is what really makes it stand out. It’s perfect for date nights, anniversaries, or just a nice night out when you want something upscale but still comfortable. The staff is super welcoming, attentive, and always on point without ever being over the top. The food is easily top tier. Everything comes out fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The seafood is especially impressive, and the steaks are cooked exactly how you want them. Cocktails are also really well made and pair perfectly with the menu. Overall, just a really solid fine dining experience in Malibu with great service, great food, and an atmosphere that makes the whole night feel special.

  The food was very overpriced and not exactly anything to write home about. One of our orders of fish came out stone-cold. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was fun. Service was sub-par, friendly enough, but super super slow. We only ordered entrees and one appetizer for the table, but spent 3 hours there. Probably a tactic to sell more $20 drinks...

  I’ve made it a tradition to come to Mastro’s for special occasions like anniversaries, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. The lemonade I usually enjoy tasted overly sweet, but the main issue was the steak. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and it was almost entirely fat with very little edible meat. It honestly felt like we just got a bad cut, which can happen, but no one checked on us until much later so we didn’t really have the chance to say anything at the time. Service also felt a bit off compared to what I’ve experienced here before. Our waiter wasn’t very welcoming and came across a little dismissive. I do appreciate the chocolate cake that was brought out, but overall this visit didn’t match the standard I’ve come to expect from Mastro’s. I’ve always trusted Mastro’s for a great steak, so this was disappointing. I’d still be open to coming back and giving it another shot.
