- SPslocal poser2 days ago5.0Wonderful Store Manager! My wife and I were in urgent need of a money order, because our bank had closed for the day. Store manager Brian Thompson was extremely helpful to us. He was patient, thorough, explained the steps and process, and I'm pretty sure he had to stay past the end of his shift. Brian was also very discreet when we were discussing the money order amount (people were within earshot). We are fortunate enough to rarely need to use money orders, so the process is unfamiliar. Brian treated us with respect and kindness during a time-sensitive situation, and we really appreciate him. Dear Safeway Corporate: Please continue to elevate Brian in his career, so his customer-centric skills can spread further.

We moved to Los Gatos at the end of April and since then we have had at least three instances of expired or rotten items. 1) Expired yogurt pouches (which we wanted to feed to our baby) 2) Expired animal crackers 3) Rotten sliced turkey (Applegate brand)-- that one was probably the worst. Just wanted to offer this feedback. As a busy mom, I feel like I have lost trust in the quality here, which just adds more to my plate.
