  I’m writing to share a frustrating experience I had at the Vons deli this morning, as well as an ongoing customer service issue I’ve noticed during several visits. I’ve gotten breakfast burritos from this location a number of times because they’re genuinely very good. Unfortunately, almost every time I come in during the morning, I leave feeling like I’m inconveniencing the employees working in that area. I’m rarely greeted, and the interactions often come across as annoyed or unwelcoming when I simply ask to order something. This morning was particularly frustrating. I arrived around 6:50 a.m. and was told the deli wouldn’t be open for another 10 minutes. I completely understood and politely said that was fine. I waited and came back around 7:00, only to then be told they still weren’t ready and that I should come back in another 10 minutes. Had I been told initially that it would be closer to 7:10, I could have used that 20 minutes to take care of something else rather than waiting around. More importantly, because I already regularly feel like the morning staff are inconvenienced by my being there, I honestly just didn’t feel comfortable coming back a third time to ask again, so I left without ordering anything. I understand that things run behind and that employees need time to prepare for opening. I’m not upset that I had to wait. What bothered me was being given a time, waiting for it, and then being told to wait again, combined with the consistently unwelcoming attitude I’ve experienced on previous visits. I really like the breakfast burritos and would like to continue coming here. I just don’t think a customer should regularly feel like they’re bothering employees simply by trying to place an order. I hope management can address this with the morning deli team and improve the customer service experience going forward. Thank you.

  Idk what corporate money grab this vons is getting out of recently making the paper bags thin & with no handles, but it’s pretty ridiculous to feel like ur carrying your overpriced groceries out in a flimsy diaper.

  Location is small. Staff in Deli are rude. Lots of homeless people stealing and security guards who do nothing.
