- DDDoreen Donahue3 days ago2.0This Vons seldom has more than one active cashier for the checkout lines, has discontinued many items over time and only offers a grocery bag with no handles. When recently shopping at a different Vons location about an hour away, I saw that a well stocked and well staffed store could make a far more enjoyable shopping experience. TlPlease try harder before customers go elsewhere.

Not well stocked with sales items, if you want to buy the large soda bottles on special there is zero inventory, even if you arrive 10 minutes after store opening. Today I was waiting patiently 15 minutes in line when finally a second cashier started calling people over to another line. Once there i was told I have to go back to the end of the other lane. This is the closest grocery store to our home but in the future I'll drive a few minutes to avoid this location. Not sure if there is a manager on duty as they seem to be unable to open a second register when the only checkout line runs back way into the aisle. Fix it!

They’ll frequently have - and I’m not kidding or exaggerating here - 2 people working the entire store, with the checkout line stretching to the back. I say checkout line instead of lines because I have never once seen more than one checkout open at a time. If you want to buy booze you have to stand in the usually 30 min plus line and then ask the cashier to walk halfway across the store to get what you want. And they never have the keys ready. Ever. So everyone has to stand there and wait for this because there is literally only ever one way to check out. It’s mind blowing. It makes me so angry that this is the only store in the area.
