It's important to understand that a store's scanning policy and digital coupon terms are two different things. Digital coupons must be properly clipped and applied through the app. The receipt also clearly shows that a $1.50 discount was manually applied as a courtesy, which is a common practice when customers experience difficulties with digital coupons. A coupon not applying does not automatically mean the item qualifies to be given away for free.

This Vons is by far the worst. My husband & I have been shopping here for 30 years & seen it decline into what it is now. Today we were merely purchasing a Nestle Coffee mate creamer advertised at $3.49 with digital coupon & when we went to pay, we were charged $4.49. We explained this to the employee working the self pay, who could in no way give us a reasonable answer or correct the charge. Then I asked the manager about it as she happened to be there. She begrudgingly attempted to assist, however when my husband commented that we should actually recieve the product at no charge according to the Vons Price policy gaurantee, she stated that we would not recieve it free & then pointed at the regular register cashiers & said that "they" would not give a product free either. So my husband showed her the policy displayed on the side of the checkout at the bagging area & that only escalated the situation. She was unbelievably unprofessional & showed nothing less than disrespect & dismissal of us as paying customers who do not walk or run out of the store with merchandise unpaid for. I must say that I do agree strongly with many complaints regarding employees here. There are perhaps 4 employees that are exceptionally professional, care for customers & take pride & dignity in their position, however many do not want to work, are in no way professional, have negative attitudes, avoid customers & do not care for customers at all. Also this store is never really properly stocked, especially with special sale items in their sale advertisements. Many times we have come upon expired use by or sell by dates on different basic food items. I see that the past reviews are always answered with a generic reply. I do not take commenting on places lightly & hope that these issues will be addressed & change things for the better.

I have been a loyal customer at this location for over 30 years. Today, I attempted to purchase Nestlé Coffee mate, which was advertised on UClub for $3.49; however, upon using my clipped coupon at the self-checkout, the price registered as $4.49. I informed the manager of Vons’ "price guarantee" policy, which states that if an item scans at a higher price, it should be provided at no cost. Despite a ten-minute discussion regarding this policy, the manager refused to honor it, claiming that standard cashiers also do not adhere to this practice. Although the manager re-scanned the item, I was still required to pay the incorrect price. This recurring issue is concerning given my long-standing tenure as a patron of this store. I think its time to move on to another store. I was also very disappointed in the horrible way that i was treated by the person/manager who disrespected and disregarded me as a customer.

Horrible experience in this store. Employees don’t want to help you, act like they don’t hear you when ask for help and act annoyed l. Something about this store is so off. Wouldn’t recommend to get your groceries over there until they fix their attitude with customers.

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality control at this Vons, especially with their pickup orders. Unfortunately, this has not been a one-time issue. I have received moldy bread on multiple occasions. Most recently, I checked the meat from my order and discovered that it was expired. I’ve also ordered a specific type of apple and been given a less expensive variety instead, while still being charged for what I originally ordered. I use grocery pickup for the convenience, but customers should be able to trust that employees are checking expiration dates, looking for mold or spoiled food, and providing the products customers actually paid for. I shouldn’t have to go through every grocery item after pickup to make sure the food is safe to eat. After having this happen repeatedly, I have lost confidence in this store’s pickup department. Receiving expired meat was especially concerning and was the final straw for me. I hope management takes these complaints seriously and puts better quality-control procedures in place for pickup orders. The photo is of ground beef I bought on the 19th of September but needed to be frozen by the 16th.
