  My husband and I came to LA for our vacation, and after a day we started craving daal bhaat. While looking for a Nepali restaurant, we came across this place — and we’re so glad we did. The ambience is top-notch and truly felt like home. The Nepali music playing in the background made it even more perfect. The staff were so kind, and the owner herself was absolutely wonderful. We ended up going there twice in one day — Nepali thali for lunch and then back again in the evening for momo. Both the thali and momo were🤌. This is definitely a must-visit place. I bet you’ll come out fulfilled and satisfied.

  Tara’s never disappoints. I usually order the chicken tikka masala with plain naan, and the flavors are excellent. The staff are also so kind, and the restaurant itself feels very warm and inviting.

  We came for lunch not realizing they were closed and they sat us down 30 mins before opening without us asking them to. And to top it off, Tara gave us dessert on the house. The food was DELICIOUS, the hospitality was generous, and our bellies were happy. You need to come eat here! Oh, get the daal, you’re welcome.

  Our experience was mid. When we came in we weren’t greeted and the guy seemed annoyed that we were there in the first place. The food was okay, but not memorable.

  Such a great dinner and amazing service too!! Highly highly recommend the Yak Chili! I was skeptical, but the yak meat was so tender and flavorful! And the woman serving us also said it’s a nice lean meat! And she was just as great as the meal!! She was very sweet and kind, thanking us for coming in, helping us with recommendations, etc. Sadly we don’t live super close, but even still, we’ll be back!
