Short answer: boring, bland, and overpriced. The staff were just okay. Long answer: We arrived for a special anniversary and we're promptly seated. The staff gave us some recommendations and we decided to try something from each section on the menu. Our first dish was the Toro tartar and while our food came out quickly, it disappointed on many levels. The portion size is forgiven at a high end restaurant but the overwhelming bad flavor is not. The caviar topping was tasteless and the sauce was way too spicy and completely overtook the dish, 1 star. Our next items came out after a bit but we still had high hopes at this point. Our vegetable choice was okra and we paired this with the hot half lobster. While neither dish failed as hard as the tartar, each dish was found lacking. Our final dish was a simple order of golden eye snapper nigiri, was the best item of the night but still far from blowing us away. We gave our feedback to the waiter but it seems like that fell on deaf ears as we received the check when confirming we did not wish to continue ordering. We did receive a "special" dessert in the form of a ice cream mochi. For a high end place this almost felt like a slap in the face. We spent $200 for a boring, bland, and underwhelming experience.

boring. I have to ask: who is still excited about asparagus in a sushi roll in 2026? I'd love to see some genuinely creative plant-based sushi on the menu. There are so many incredible vegan sushi concepts out there now, and it feels like a missed opportunity not to showcase them. For example, I'd order a vegan specialty roll like this immediately: Vegan "Crunchy Crab & Tempura" Roll * Inside: plant-based spicy crab, vegan shrimp tempura * Outside: avocado * Topped with: chili oil, vegan mayo, eel-style sauce, crispy onion I'd also love to see a baked vegan crab hand roll--rich, savory, creamy, and indulgent, not just vegetables rolled in rice. Restaurants like Shizen, Shojin, and Ma-Kin Sushi have shown how creative and satisfying plant-based sushi can be. The techniques and ingredients exist; I'd love to see that same level of love here. I want a reason to keep coming back and getting excited about the menu. Give us some memorable plant-based sushi! Sea life is here with us, not for us.

Food and service were fantastic. Unfortunately, this establishment allows people to use their laptops & phoned throughout dinner doing whatever influencer bullshit they’re into. I would expect a restaurant of this statue to not allow such an invasive activity around their patrons. Especially at over $100 per person! This location has reduced themselves to no better than the Burger King across the street.
