I got here and the experience immediately felt a little off. I can’t say for sure it was discriminatory treatment, but the initial interaction definitely made me question whether I was being judged based on appearance. From the start, the hosts gave us uneasy stares, and there was confusion around our reservation—it wasn’t found at first, then suddenly it was located. That already set a strange tone. We were initially offered a side table, then placed in a corner booth labeled the “VIP experience.” It didn’t feel particularly special in practice but more like being placed out of the main flow of the restaurant. (To be fair, I actually like booths, so that part wasn’t the issue.) What stood out most was the contrast in the room like the guests ranged from very dressed up to casual cocktail attire—so it didn’t feel like we were out of place based on clothing or presentation. That’s part of why the initial treatment felt confusing. After that, the service from the waitstaff was genuinely great, and the food was solid. No complaints there. But the first impression was hard to shake because it teally set the tone and affected the overall feel of the experience. I’d consider going back another time just to see if it was an off night or a one-time issue but like I sort of don't want to come back so im conflicted. Overall: 3/5 stars — good food, great service, uncomfortable start. -not wheelchair friendly - terrible parking - not fat /broke people friendly🤣 Seriously though

I don’t understand how if I’m paying for a restaurant like Nobu I should be dining with flies and a dog at the other table, if I’m paying $100 per person why can you not find a way to keep flies away from the restaurant? I’ve been to many fine dining restaurants that don’t have flies and/or allow dogs to enter that I should mention it was not a guide dog. I understand I have OCD but really I choose expensive restaurants to avoid triggering my OCD. The food was nice but ruined by the above I mentioned!

I recently dined at Nobu Los Angeles, and overall it was a high-end, refined, and memorable experience that reflects the restaurant’s global reputation for upscale Japanese-Peruvian cuisine. From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere felt elegant and carefully curated. The interior design is modern and understated, with soft lighting and a calm, sophisticated energy that immediately sets the tone for a premium dining experience. It feels exclusive without being overly formal. Service was professional, attentive, and well-paced. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations, ensuring that each course was delivered with attention to timing and presentation. The overall hospitality matched the expectations of a fine dining establishment. The food was the highlight of the experience. Dishes were beautifully presented, with a strong emphasis on freshness, balance, and creative flavor combinations. Signature items were particularly impressive, showcasing the restaurant’s distinctive fusion style. Each course felt thoughtfully prepared and consistent in quality. One of the strongest aspects of Nobu Los Angeles is its ability to combine luxury dining with a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. It manages to feel special without being intimidating, making it suitable for both celebrations and high-end casual dining. The overall pricing is on the higher end, which is expected given the brand and quality, but the experience aligns with the level of service, presentation, and culinary execution. Overall, my experience was excellent. It’s a standout fine dining destination in Los Angeles, ideal for those seeking refined flavors, elegant ambiance, and consistently high-quality service.

The service was absolutely terrible and completely unacceptable. I’ve rarely experienced something this bad. I was given a dirty napkin, which was just disgusting and completely unhygienic. On top of that, I had to ask three times for cutlery (a knife and fork) and still didn’t receive it. That level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. To make matters worse, we were overcharged and had extra items added to our bill that we didn’t order. This is completely unacceptable. Overall, a disastrous experience. Neither hygiene nor service meet even basic standards. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
