  I came in specifically to try a Grandma slice. The first staff told me they didn't have it, so I bought a veggie instead. Later, another cashier said it would take 5 to 6 minutes. I wish that option had been offered from beginning, since the Grandma was what I originally wanted. The Grandma slice itself was very good: juicy, tomato forward sauce, crisp crust, exactly I expected (-much more balanced than White slice which tasted overwhelmingly of garlic to me in the past). The veggie was fine. The cannoli was disappointing. Served very cold, with denie white filling, lots of imitation-taste chocolate chips, and thick, hard shell. It didn't taste like a fresh, refined cannoli. I tossed in the tras can after two bites. Once was enough but I bit once more to confirm it's not good. This is a casual restaurant that is fine. But during a quiet Friday evening, the tables weren't being bused or cleaned while staff were chatting. Also, after I declined a drink, I felt uncomfortable reaction from the cashier. I'd come back for the Grandma slice, and to try meatballs etcétera. I hope for clearer communication what can be made fresh.

  Joe’s Pizza was a place I really wanted to visit while in Los Angeles, and the experience was good. The pizza tastes great, and I especially loved the cheese slice. Prices are reasonable, and it’s worth trying if you’re in the area.The service was fine — nothing exceptional, but they didn’t treat us badly either. The place is simple, meant for sitting down for a moment, eating, and moving on.I would definitely get another cheese slice 👌🏻

  It was refreshing to get ACTUAL "New York" style pizza on the west coast. Quick, easy, tasty, fair price, no bs, not greasy, just good pizza. The pizza was delicious, with quality ingredients and the toppings were not lacking. Staff was very friendly and made the pizza quick. Online ordering was painless. It looked great too, the presentation was quality work.... this is not a pizza slop shop. We were very grateful that they also gave us an abundance of parm/pepper and plates with our takeout. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Joe's <3
