I'd like to share my experience at Encanto restaurant. The warm, welcoming atmosphere with soft lighting and pleasant music makes you want to stay, relax, and enjoy a good conversation. I came with my wife and child - we were greeted politely and seated exactly where we felt most comfortable. I started with the signature Margarita: perfect in presentation and flavor balance - it immediately set a great mood. Next, I ordered the ceviche set. The first two (Cona Konpachi and Aguachile) were truly outstanding - a symphony of flavors with perfectly balanced ingredients that complemented each other beautifully. The other two ceviches in the set, however, felt unbalanced - the dominant note was excessive acidity. For mains, I had the grilled fish - served on a sizzling hot pan, with a deep charred aroma and a well-judged marinade. Excellent. The steak, unfortunately, disappointed: first it was overcooked, then undercooked. But a special thank you to our server, Kristi - she was attentive and professional, and she turned my overall experience back into a very positive one. I highly recommend Encanto for its ambiance and service. As for the food - some dishes are fantastic, others still need fine-tuning. But with a team like this, I believe this restaurant can definitely bring you great pleasure.

My review is based off of one visit and the dish I will be highlighting is their “taste of Baja “ ceviche sampler. So do with this information as you will.
The ceviche sampler has all 4 of their ceviche dishes. If you are into subtle flavors three notches above water, you’ll love these dishes. The “Roja” ceviche is was ok. But left a lot to be desired. The aguachile seems like they had the agua (water) part down perfect while completely ignoring the chile. The leche De Tigre was disappointing the most to me because of you’ve ever had actual leche de tigre, you know how amazing it can be. In all 4 dishes the seafood did not seem to be the freshest. For the price of these dishes and the location I would expect better. I might have been able to look past the flavor if the fish was fresh.
The drinks in the other hand were really good. Based only the food I had and the price tag, you’re better off going to a taco or ceviche truck and heading back here for drinks.
That being said, the service was great and I do plan to come here again to try another one of their dishes. My opinion, if it one try but pass on th ceviche’s.

Honestly, I loved this place and have been here several times. I had a very strange experience here the last time I went, however. I had ordered a margarita during happy hour and later a shot of tequila to sip on with the rest of dinner. My friend and I had closed out, and well before I was even done with my tequila, the bar tender asked if I wanted another. I said no— we had already closed out. He offered again nearly 5 minutes later to give me another, and then he offered again— he was quite pushy. I was not even done yet with my first yet. I’m also a small and younger girl, nor do I drink that much. I assumed he was offering it for free because we had already closed out, said no, and he was still pushing it. I said “sure” finally out of obligation and he poured another to which I didn’t even drink. I actually poured it in my water glass to not seem ungrateful. Just to be polite, we asked for the “check” and to my surprise he proceeds to give it to us— 22 dollars for a double that I didn’t even ask for. I’m not expecting anything for free whatsoever, but the serious pushiness after we had already closed out, followed by the assumption I wanted a double shot, was just ridiculous. Very weird bartender.

We’ve been frequenting this spot because the food is delicious. However, something I notice every time I come is how subpar the service is. My latest experience makes me even question if I should continue coming here. I brought in a group of 10 for brunch (I made a reservation a few days prior). The servers were very welcoming and nice when we arrived. Drinks came out a little slow but whatever. Food came out as it was ready, and generally the entrees started coming to the left side of the table and made its way to the right (I was at the very right side of the table). By the time I got my food, the left side of the table was done eating! Not exaggerating, I received my food ~20-30 mins after the left side of the table. Meanwhile, other tables around us, who arrived later than us, got their dishes before me. When my plate came out, the server warned me that it was very hot. It was indeed HOT - I ordered a medium rare carne asada and it came out medium bordering medium well. The potatoes were also extremely hot. I was puzzled because I had to wait so long for my dish but it seemed like it had been sitting in an oven for a while? I also had to remind the servers multiple times that we ordered french toast for the table. We were also given a dish that we did not order. Service seems very unorganized, and the staff was not very apologetic. When the check came, it was presented to the opposite side of the table, even though the servers were clearly aware that I was the host of this group. Was this done to prevent me from checking the receipt properly or having an influence on the tip amount? Overall, I think Encanto has the potential to be an awesome neighborhood spot, but service needs a BIG improvement. I WANT to come back for the food, but I think I SHOULD give others with more organized service and customer care my business for now.

This is a fine dining establishment that cares about service and food. Our server did a good job of explaining all of our food options and answering our questions. The food came out quickly everything was delicious. I was part of a party of six and everybody was happy with the food. I had the branzino and I can definitely recommend that.
