When I requested the cashier to take them back so they could be reused, they said that I can "throw them out" which defeats the entire purpose of reducing and reusing. It would be great if staff could be instructed to accept completely unused cutlery especially when it is being returned right in front of their eyes.

On top of that, the portions were extremely small about half a serving of rice and barely a quarter portion of barbacoa. When I asked about it, the employee told me those were their “standard portions.” I didn’t want to argue since it was crowded and they were already struggling, but overall the experience was very frustrating and not what I expect from Chipotle.
