When I walked in, an employee was standing at the end of the counter laughing and talking with a coworker. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with employees enjoying themselves at work, but when a customer walks up, they should at least be acknowledged. I stood there waiting for a simple “Hi, how are you?” or “What can I get started for you?” Instead, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged at all. It wasn’t until I stood there looking at her for a moment that she finally seemed to realize she should ask what I wanted. Beyond that interaction, the overall energy in this location just wasn’t welcoming. The attitudes felt thick, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable, and unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve gotten that impression from this particular location. I’ve been to another Chipotle location where the experience was much better, and honestly, I should have gone there instead. After this visit, I won’t be returning to this location. Customer service starts with something as simple as acknowledging the person standing in front of you.
