I called the restaurant, and I was told there was nothing they could do about it until the following day. I explained that I was willing to pick up the corrected order myself, and they did remake the food for me. However, when I received it, the food was extremely dry and had very little flavor. Even my husband’s food was bland and lacked the flavor we’ve come to expect from this restaurant. This is especially disappointing because this place used to be very, very good. We’ve enjoyed their food in the past, but unfortunately, the quality of our most recent order was nowhere near what it used to be. I really hope they can improve the food and bring back the quality and flavor they were known for.

Unfortunately, the chicken was the biggest disappointment of my visit. I ordered the half chicken, and unfortunately, it lacked flavor and was a little dry. They do serve their traditional Peruvian green sauce on the side, and there’s also a bottle available at the table, but even the sauce didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. I expected the chicken itself to have more seasoning and that delicious Peruvian flavor that makes rotisserie chicken so good. My friend ordered the classic Lomo Saltado—steak, onions, tomatoes, and fries—and that dish was actually pretty good. I've also had their burgers before, and those are definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is okay, and the service is more of a counter-service setup. You order and pay before sitting down, which isn't necessarily a problem, but I personally don't like being prompted for a tip before I've even received any service. So, is Caveman Kitchen worth trying? Yes. I just wouldn't go there specifically for the rotisserie chicken based on my experience. They have some good food, especially their burgers and other dishes, so I'd still recommend giving them a try.
