I really like CAVA in St Monica, but this one... my Bowl is Half EMPTY. The meat portion are miserable... Had to go buy another meal elsewhere. I came 2 times and both times this happened, even if I asked for a little more, they just don't give you anything... Will NOT be coming back.

Ordered through the app for convenience, but when I arrived at the scheduled pickup time my order was still about 20 minutes behind. There were around 10 other customers waiting as well, so this didn’t seem like an isolated issue. The staff appeared overwhelmed, and communication about the delays was minimal. The food is usually good, but the pickup experience today was disappointing.

I visit this location every other week since I work on campus, and I've been to enough other Cava spots to have a real basis for comparison. The location is small and the foot traffic from students and staff is consistently heavy, which I'd forgive if the food and service held up. They don't.
The service issue shows up most at the takeout counter. Picking up an order should be straightforward, but the staff there is often too swamped to acknowledge you, even when your food has been sitting out for ten minutes. I've found myself unsure whether to just grab my bag and leave or wait to be noticed. I usually wait and ask first out of courtesy, but I shouldn't have to think through that every single time.
The portions are noticeably smaller here than at other locations, something other reviewers have flagged too. My salmon dill bowl is the clearest example. The salmon itself was both tiny and visibly overcooked, and the photos show it sitting nowhere near the rim of the takeout bowl. At other locations, the same bowl looks and tastes different. Here it feels like an afterthought. Also, this bowl was $18.
I keep coming back because it's convenient, not because the quality earns it. This location could do better, and it seems like it just isn't trying to.

I eat at CAVA locations all over the city, so I know what a standard portion looks like. This was the first CAVA where I felt the meat portion was noticeably smaller than usual. Everywhere else is consistently generous or at least on point, but this location seemed to be cutting corners.
That said, I want to give a special shoutout to Tommy. He was friendly, professional, and did a great job. The service itself was excellent.
Management should pay closer attention to portion consistency, especially when it comes to the protein. It’s disappointing to pay full price and receive much less than what customers normally expect from CAVA.

First time trying Cava and honestly my walk in experience was not the best. First I ordered a bowl with chicken as my protein and the lady behind me ordered salmon I’m extremely allergic and our bowls were right next to each other. I take my allergy very seriously and this left me a little uneasy. On to the topping they were out of corn, cucumber, and pita chips I wanted them in my bowl. Some of the staff looked unapproachable and as if they had an attitude. The food was good I can’t lie but service could definitely be better. They could also fill up the bowls more I had to ask for extra rice.
