Byrdie’s chicken is always a HUGE hit in my household. I absolutely love the seasoning on their chicken, it’s perfectly cooked, and their sides are phenomenal. Specifically their red cabbage slaw, truffle Mac & cheese, and the broccolini. I ordered a family meal with 4 large sides and I highly encourage going with the large sides rather than small sides. It was delicious and I wish they delivered all the way to me in Santa Monica, but I make it a point to eat there anytime I’m in West Hollywood.
Delicious roasted chicken and all the sides and sauces were nice and fresh.

The food was good. However, the individual working had no idea was gluten or a gluten allergy is (or celiac). I have celiac disease. I only ate because I guided the woman through every step of prep. Considering how serious Bacari takes allergies, this was a big disappointment.
Byrdie's is a neighborhood gem. I've had dine-in lunch there a few times, and their bowls are delicious and fresh. But we most often get take-out dinner for our family of four: the whole chicken combo feeds two adults and two kids for about $60 with tax and tip; that's about the same price as Pollo Loco. And don't get me wrong, I love Pollo Loco, but this is a different level of food: succulent, delicious chicken; fresh, creative sides; bold sauces handmade in house. For sides, I'm a particular fan of the broccolini (smoky, deep umami flavors), the fries (super-crispy shoestring style), and the red couscous (citrus-y, perfectly fluffy). For sauces, I love the aji verde (spicy, savory) and the chimichurri (herbacious, oily).
