Great place to shop. I highly recommend the deli. Ericha made a perfect sandwich for me. Staff and service are excellent. Good produce department and a large variety of tasty bakery items. Prices are reasonable.

I would like to share an experience I had at your store on Sunday at approximately 1:30 p.m.
While waiting in line, I realized that I was in the express lane. As I got closer to the cashier, I noticed the sign indicating "15 Items or Less." I had 16 items, which meant I was only one item over the limit. When it was my turn, I immediately apologized to the cashier for over one item. However, rather than simply acknowledging my apology, she responded that I should not be in that line because I was over the limit by one item. I explained that I had not noticed the sign earlier because it was difficult to see from where I entered the line. She then pointed out that there was a larger sign overhead.
I apologized again, explaining that I do not typically look up unless I am searching for something specific then look for the sign above. Despite acknowledging my mistake, I felt that the interaction could have been handled in a more understanding and courteous manner. I then tried to be helpful by bagging my own groceries to keep the line moving. In my rush, I accidentally left behind two avocados that I had already paid for. Ironically, those avocados represented the one extra item that seemed to be causing the concern. At that point, it felt as though my one extra item had become a much bigger issue than necessary.
I understand that express lane limits exist for a reason, and I recognize that I was technically over the limit. However, I do not believe that being one item over significantly delayed the line, especially after I immediately apologized for the oversight.
What disappointed me most was the inconsistency. I have seen customers with several items over the limit use express lanes without being confronted. In my case, being just one item over seemed to become an unnecessary issue.
I believe that a little understanding and kindness can go a long way. With grocery prices being so high today and customers having many supermarket options to choose from, positive customer service experiences are more important than ever.
My concern is not that I was reminded about the express lane policy. Rather, it is that the situation could have been handled with more courtesy and respect, especially after I acknowledged my mistake and apologized.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope it can be used as an opportunity to encourage positive customer interactions in the future.

I visited Von's this afternoon (2:15pm) after shopping for items that I needed. I
went to get in line into the Lane the lady cashier says," she's going home": she cut her service light off asked me to go over to the next Lane.. I go over to the next Lane I think it was a manager( male)maybe lane 5 or 6 he cut his light off and said that he's going over to the Lane to his left because the lady cashier is leaving but yet two Caucasian men walked into the ladies Lane and proceeded to get check out service. (remember, her light was off) but she went ahead and took them. I'm so over this white black Prejudice situation I swear our blood is all red!! Its so annoying..I ask for the manager the cashier says I am the manager..oh boy, I just left my full cart and walked out!! Enuff

Many of the cashiers do not even look at you when you when being checked out or even greet you. If they do it doesn’t seem genuine. Like they don’t want to be there. It’s a shame. It used to be a very nice place to shop.
