  This store used to be a great place to shop, but it’s become my last resort. For every reason, it’s fallen apart. Everything else in the neighborhood is better. The staff all seem generally unhappy, and the store itself is ugly and unfinished. They’ve polished decades of different floors to make it look new, but it’s just a facade. Prices are higher than other stores, sometimes significantly, and the produce quality is hit or miss. The meat department is so thinly stocked that it’s almost impossible to find anything. And don’t even get me started on the homeless and beggars outside and inside the store. AND I’ve been hit up for money twice while shopping inside by women with kids going around asking. I understand that unhoused people are a problem, but it’s really bad here. I’ve given up on this store.

  Overall this is a great store. The only downside is an employee named Steven, I think he might be the store manager but I may be wrong, I hope I’m wrong. He’s rude and has no customer service skills.

  Terrible store that has gone so down hill. Walking in the store or looks like an old dump, the floor is disgusting. To make matters worse, it's 6:30pm, a very busy time and there are two registers open and literally no one available to open another register. Everything is overpriced and then you have to wait in massive lines. I had two items. It's absolutely disgraceful that a Vons would be like this. Is you walk into Stater Bros just down the street, it's beautiful kept, welcoming and clean. Won't be coming back here, even if it is closer to my house!!

  They still live in the 1980s. They want cash for every transaction and don’t accept Apple Pay.

  I thought I had added my review! I was visiting Southern California when I discovered I had not packed my medications. I called my doctor in my own state, and after a little bit of coordination, the prescriptions were faxed to this Vons and my prescriptions were ready much sooner than I'd have expected. When I got to the Vons, *everyone* in the store was helpful and friendly, and I got to the Pharmacy easily to get my medications. The Pharmacy staff was also helpful and friendly. They also helped me find some OTC medications. I was very, very pleased by this Vons.
