  Beatuiful hand made paitngs of Ganapati and Maa Kamala and classic Murti of Natraj in the corner. Amazing customer service from Jana. She is an expert in restaurant hospitality, and actively seeks to improve the establishment. The food was made in a timely fashion, and was chatpata. I reccomemd the samosa chaat, gobi manchurian, and dal makhni. Masala chai was delicious too.

  I visited Natraj Cuisine of India and Nepal in Long Beach with my family at 7:00 PM following a personal recommendation. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing due to a complete lack of quality control and unprofessional service. We arrived specifically for the Thali, only to be told the kitchen was "out of food" for that dish. We instead ordered the Hyderabadi Biryani. The menu describes this as "long-grain aromatic Basmati rice cooked with boneless chicken and a special blend of spices." What we were served was the complete opposite. It was flavorless, excessively oily, and heavily over-salted. When we raised our concerns, the staff admitted that they were out of the correct chicken and rice, 😡😡 so the kitchen simply "made" a version using whatever they had left😡😡. Serving a substitute dish that doesn't match the menu description without informing the customer beforehand is unacceptable. The issues continued with basic requests like Onion & Lemon they were out of these items, but then the staff said they would give me a small amount "as a favor." This is a strange and unprofessional response for a standard side dish. We ordered a side of plain rice to try and salvage the meal, but it arrived water-logged and overcooked, lacking the texture expected of any professional kitchen. While I paid the bill in full, we refused to order anything further due to the poor quality of the food served. It is rare that I feel the need to write a negative review, but the management needs to be aware of these operational failures. For a restaurant that comes recommended, the lack of basic ingredients and the decision to serve sub-par food at 7:00 PM is a major concern. I would not recommend this location until significant improvements are made to their kitchen standards and inventory management.
