While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's commitment to fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Long Beach,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
I lament coming here every time bc there’s a 50/50 chance I get sick from their food, but sometimes I just have a craving for their tostada.
Today was another day I decided to chance it, parked my car and got out for literally 5 seconds to let my dog take a break before going through the drive thru. An employee, possibly the manager, comes out while she’s on the phone to tell me parking is for customers. Immediately lost my appetite because the tight policing and attitude was definitely bc I was a POC in this neighborhood.
Place is literally chasing away its customers from its diarrhea food. It’s actually quite funny. Won’t come back again.

We come here often and it’s always a lifesaver when we’re tired and need food. Everyone is always working so hard and super friendly + great service overall. Really appreciate them. We just went again and Alonso was so helpful, quick, and got our large order together flawlessly with a smile on his face. Thank you 🙏🏻

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would.
My 75-year-old parents parked in a handicap space with their legally issued handicap placard clearly displayed. Within one hour — almost to the minute — their vehicle was towed. They did not see any clearly visible indication that the space was considered “private property,” and nothing about the situation justified such an aggressive and immediate tow.
Towing elderly, disabled individuals who are properly displaying a handicap placard is not just bad business — it is predatory. The speed at which the tow occurred strongly suggests this is not about parking enforcement, but about generating towing revenue.
This feels like a deliberate setup targeting vulnerable people who may not notice small or poorly placed signage.
Shame on you for treating elderly, disabled individuals this way.
