My sister & I came here after the gym last night. We hadn’t been in a while, and we had always had good experiences in the past, but unfortunately, after last night, we will not be returning.
From the moment we ordered, it felt like the employees did not want us there and that we were bothering them. The employee preparing my salad did not even give me the opportunity to finish telling her which toppings I wanted before she had already closed & sealed the container. One of the toppings I requested, the ham, was simply placed on the side on a different container. Everything felt extremely rushed. Our food was immediately packed into a bag as if we were taking it to go, even though we had every intention of eating there. They also did not give us our drinks that were part of our order.
After paying, my sister & I sat down & had to unpack everything they had bagged so we could eat. About 10 minutes into our meal, they actually turned off the lights in the dining area while we were still sitting there eating!! No one apologized, explained anything, or turned the lights back on. We ended up having to hurry and finish our food in the dark.
That was completely unacceptable. Food is far too expensive nowadays to spend your money at a restaurant & be treated as though your presence is an inconvenience to the employees. I want to remind De Vinci's that they are not doing customers a favor by a selling me food. WE as customers are choosing to spend our money & give that restaurant our business. At the very least, customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect.
After the way we were treated last night, that will be our last visit. I would recommend the owners properly train their employees not to tun off the lights on customers while they are eating in the dining area, and not assume the order is to go!
