This Taco Bell from 2017, after the teardown and rebuild up until August 2025, was perfect. From October 2025 to May 9, 2026, they keep making mistake after mistake. I was in a hurry and forgot to look in the bag. Normally I check every item now, but I forgot this time. It always seems to be one thing or another. Almost every time without fail, they forget something. I order a combo with chips — no chips. I add an extra side of sauce and pay for it — no sauce. I order 10-count nuggets that come with 2 sides of sauce — only get 1. I order a combo with basic crunchy tacos and pay to upgrade to Locos Supreme, and I either get basic crunchy tacos or regular Locos tacos without Supreme. Sometimes I even get Locos Supreme with no tomatoes. That has happened twice now. Today I ordered spicy nuggets and got plain ones instead. Do NOT leave the store without checking every item. This is why I don’t use delivery apps. The menu costs more, and I’d end up spending extra money on upgrades I won’t even get. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. They really like asking me to do their surveys. Oh, I will — but they won’t be good, because this keeps happening. They have all new digital tablet screens and handheld devices, and almost all products and bags now come with printed receipts showing what you ordered and what items are included in each order. It’s 2026 with all this technology, and they seem to be getting worse. I thought technology was supposed to help. I sometimes feel like they might be under pressure to meet speed-of-service targets and keep orders moving quickly. For example, when I went to Burger King the other day, staff asked me to back up so their timer would stop counting me. It feels similar to that kind of situation. Even at places like McDonald’s, it sometimes feels like they want drive-thru times to stay low, and they may ask customers to park and wait so the numbers look better. You can also place a mobile order and sometimes see staff clear the screen before the order is actually ready, while the app says “head inside, order is ready” when it isn’t yet. It seems like corporate performance metrics may put pressure on staff, which could contribute to mistakes. the food costs way to much to keep letting this slide.

Not only did I watch an employee park right in front .. they took over 10 minutes to get my food together actually 15 minutes. And I watched 6 cars in the drive through go, and all them 8 employees acting like they didn't have anything to do. And guess what as soon as I complained, I got my food in 60 seconds. This generation is seriously annoying . I'm a regular here, and honestly I'll save my money and cook .
