  "What ??? I have 7000 points for FREE FOOD ??? You've got to be kidding me. No ??? Seriously, you're NOT kidding me? Oh, my goodness ... Well, stop the earth from spinning while I place an order." And so, I followed the text link and placed my order: One Mezzo e Mezzo with meatballs. One 10-inch GF Favorites pizza. One side salad. One mini Cannoli. OMG. I love this place! The food is so fresh and delectable and yummy. The first bite makes your eyes roll back in your head. And somehow, the second bite is even better. And the third bite ... how does the Ottavio's magic make that work ... that each bite keeps getting better? And here's another bit of unique magic: Ottavio's is the only Italian place in town that serves DELICIOUS gluten free pizza. How amazingly intelligent. What an incredible blessing to those of us with gluten issues! Before learning about Ottavio's point system, I'd always order the 10-inch GF Cheese with fennel sausage and onions, but this GF Favorites pizza is a mouthful of heaven. After tonight, I think the Favorites has become my favorite pizza! Thanks, Ottavio's, for the deliciousness, for the free food points, and for the GF options!   I drive from Imperial Beach all the way to Lakeside for their White Pizza. If that doesn’t prove how good it is, then I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s that good.

  ⭐️⭐️ 2/10 — First time at Ottavio’s, and definitely my LAST. 🚫🍕 Well here I go....I ordered the 14” Gianni’s Deluxe Pizza ($25.90), which is supposedly wood-fired. What came out looked like a pile of mush. 🤢 The center was runny, the crust and toppings seemed undercooked, and several of the toppings were rubbery and slimy. It honestly seemed like some of the ingredients had been frozen and weren’t properly cooked through. The pizza was so soggy that when you tried to pick up a slice, ALL the toppings literally slid right off! 🍕💦 Everything just fell into a wet pile. How is this supposed to be a wood-fired pizza?! We shared about two slices between three people and left the rest untouched. That tells you everything. 🤮❌ Then I ordered the kids’ spaghetti ($8). The waitress asked if we wanted marinara or meat sauce. I said meat sauce and asked if it came with a meatball. She said yes and asked, “One or two?” I said one, however it normally comes. What arrived? Spaghetti with plain marinara and one meatball. 🍝 The noodles had the texture of rubber bands, the sauce was bland, and the meatball tasted like a frozen, pre-made meatball rather than something homemade. To make it worse, I was charged an extra $3.95 for ONE meatball. Seriously? 💸😳 My child took a few bites and didn’t want any more — and didn’t even want the pizza. I also ordered the Spicy Chicken Angel Hair ($22) and asked for it extra spicy. 🌶️ That was probably the best thing we ordered, and I’d still only give it a D+. It tasted like something you could make at home for a fraction of the price. 💵 Subtotal: $59.85 🧾 Tax: $4.64 💰 And I still left the waitress a $5 tip for keeping the ice cubes cold. 🧊😂 For the price, the quality was extremely disappointing. My overall rating is 2/10. Maybe this food hits differently after more than a few drinks, but sober? Absolutely not. 😬 Never again. I’d recommend skipping Ottavio’s Italian Restaurant and spending your money somewhere else. 🚫🍕🍝 Please see picture for reference.

  My wife and I stopped by for dinner and we were served by Marlene … she was amazing … great smile and positive attitude … she was very attentive to our questions about the menu and she made the whole dinner a great evening out for us …. We love this restaurant and are never disappointed…. Thanks for everything Marlene !

  We are long time patrons at Ottavios. Occasionally, we have the round table outside when we come with our family and have fantastic service, but mostly we love to order online and pick up. We have never had a bad meal. Their Rigatoni fra diavolo is to die for but we get angel hair, their deluxe pizza is the best without green pepper thin extra crispy crust, the chowder is top notch the best and the Alfredo anything is the best:) we just love this place. Highly recommend!
