  We went there a couple of weeks ago. Sorry to be critical. The chef is on vacation. The staff were cooking and serving on their own. I sympathized. However, the food wasn’t all that. The salmon was so-so. The kebobs had mixed reactions from guests. Don’t rule them out. Just make sure the chef is back. The ambience and service are amazing.

  New Mediterranean restaurant in lake forest! The muhammara ( roasted nut, red pepper dip cold dish ) is pretty yummy. The Kebab Combination Platter is a good choice to share. We also tried some new appetizers such as the cheese borak, meat sambousek, kibbeh, pretty filling. The dessert baklava is loaded with pistachio

  The menu has plenty of variety, from appetizers and dips to wraps and kebab platters. We chose 4 appetizers to sample along with baba ghanoush and muhammara. The Kebab Combo Platter is great for sharing which included beef, chicken, and kofta kebabs with rice, salad, and hummus. The Chicken Shawarma Wrap large enough to split. The dining room is casual with colorful mosaic details throughout.

  My husband and I eat a lot of middle eastern food and the favor here is very unique. We very much enjoy their food. My favorite is the chicken shawarma, the tabbouleh salad and the sides are great. We will definitely order again!

  Food was good, but service was really bad. Waitress did not get me water before ordering. The first thing I said when ordering was, a water would be great… still, did not get a water. I had to get up and get my own water. I Refilled my own soda as well, and then the waitress raised her voice at me to sit down when I was refilling my drink. Unprofessional. Not sure if Pita bread was supposed to come with my food, but I only received it toward the end of my meal. Captions on the food to say what it all should include, on the menu, would be helpful. Who knows, maybe they didn’t include another needed part of my meal. The waitress seemed to ask a lot of unnecessary questions, which added an air of stress to the interaction. Not sure if she was new or something, but I was not told anything. She was also in the kitchen area, out of sight for about half my meal, 15-20 min. so not sure how I was supposed to ask for anything lol. I have worked in a restaurant and I would not treat customers this way. Maybe I just caught the business on a bad day, but I will likely not be back. Best of luck to you.
