- RMRobert Milz3 days ago1.0For the love Chick Fila, Jared please sir, get your act together. When I started coming here two years ago, every order was missing something—a paid side order. I began checking every time. I complained to the manager and owner; they never cared and were even rude. Since then, they’ve vastly improved, and most employees who bring out my order are fantastic. But this place has an uncanny way of forgetting my order the rare times I don’t check because I feel unwell and need to leave. Every time. It’s uncanny. Of the 50+ times I’ve visited other Chick-fil-A locations, only once was an item forgotten. I understand mistakes happen, but for missing items and rude management, this is the worst branch I’ve visited. It literally owes me food. Other Chick-fil-As have given me free extra food at night, likely because they have extras before closing. I never ask for free food, and this isn’t about that. Because other locations occasionally give me something free, I don’t press this one about missing items. I figure God compensated me elsewhere. Besides, by my next visit, I no longer have the receipt. But today again: I needed to raise my blood sugar for a condition, and the fries—the only carb in my order—were left out. I don’t know if the managers don’t care because they’re used to rich, uppity La Jolla customers. All I ask: stop forgetting items in my orders. I don’t need free items or apologies. Just give me my full order. I don’t understand this place’s God-given problem. And no, I’m not rich. I often order an extra item or give my free-points item to homeless people by the trolley station. I’m not homeless; I have long COVID and often feel so bad I sit in my car near a La Jolla emergency room. I see many people here who also need help. Please stop leaving things out of my order. It drives me nuts. Again, no issues with the young kids who bring out my order. They’re usually very nice. I worked customer service at their age while working through college. But after raising this with different managers over the years, they’ve had a “couldn’t-care-less” attitude. Other reviews corroborate this. I believe that behavior is top-down, so owner Jared should step it up. I guess he’s a Christian. Sir, please do the right thing. I can show grace, but after a while it gets old. If I didn’t need to come here for inexpensive food, I wouldn’t frequent this branch at all. Please, I’m not asking for much.

We placed and paid for our order ahead of time, but because the app requires customers to press “I’m here” before preparation begins, we ended up waiting 50 minutes for our food. That completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. If a customer places an order in advance, the expectation is that the food will actually be prepared in advance not started only after they arrive. This was an unacceptable experience, and Chick-fil-A seriously needs to reconsider this process. In top of that we ordered 2 fries but only got one. Also forgot our sauce Terrible experience not worth it

No ding against the people working here either, they were nice enough (I do wish they asked if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry on top as I would’ve skipped all that). Anyway fine experience once I got into the restaurant. That said, I’m sorry, but who is the genius that approved a Chick-fil-A location with no drive thru? The spots in the parking lot are narrow, and the lot itself is so poorly designed it’s hard to get in, out and around. It was just an annoying experience. I’d avoid this location unless you’re desperate for Chick-fil-A.
