  Safeway has the best produce selection out of the grocery stores around here, and they have a decent selection overall. However, the store can improve on customer service. This location is technically the closest grocery store to me, but I do not go here regularly because I have to mentally prepare myself to stand in line for 20+ mins. There is often only one checker, and if another lane opens it is the 15 item or less line, even though there are self checkouts. Customers are expected to do the bagging of groceries which also slows things down. There are no baggers (very rarely) even though there are plenty of workers. It seems 98% of the employees are working on the online orders. For some reason the hand held baskets are located in the middle of the store by the customer service counter. I'm guessing a manager decided it is convent for them to store those there, but it is not convenient for the customer to walk to the middle of the store to fetch one of those. & this is assuming you spent the time to search for them.

  Only 1 check stand open. Very long line. Forced to use self checkout with a 2 year old along. When 2 year old took something out of the bag and the screen showed "assistance needed" store worker would not clear it, implying I was stealing. Maybe have more check stands open during busy store times instead of insulting loyal customers this way. I have always been willing to pay more at Safeway because the service was better. Not anymore. At least at Walmart I expect to be treated with suspicion. Shame on you Safeway. You've lost a good and loyal customer.

  This is the second time I’ve come to Safeway on a Sunday morning In Jacksonwith a cart load of groceries with only one checkout open clearly I can’t use the one checkout because I have a cart load of groceries. The self checkout is difficult to do this grocery store has 100 people running around Sunday morning at work in the store. No one is opening any checkouts you guys need to open lanes early. It’s 8 o’clock in the morning on a Sunday. It’s not got awfully early open some registers. I spent almost $400 and had a bag all of my own groceries. The employees are spending more time running around like it’s a party instead of helping people note to self don’t go to the Jackson store.

  Sheryl an old lady that works at deli it's the rudest and nastier person I'd ever met in my life, she was giving an attitude to my clients who are disabled, they are human with feelings and they are also important they don't deserve this kind of treatment, it's not like they're giving the sandwiches for free, there pretty expensive to still have to deal with their "hate life attitude", never eating here again
