  Not enough cashiers, the alcohol section is A+ until they let people not buying alcohol come with a full shopping cart to make their purchase. Or have that cashier closed then have to stand in the long lines to buy because the self checkout is not allowed to do alcohol transactions. Prices are great with plenty options of food and the store layout is very nice. The parking lot spaces seen kind of small and busy, overall they have plenty of great choices and the staff is great.

  I came into the store today to purchase two gift cards for my clients, one Target gift card and one Home Depot gift card. At self-checkout, an employee came over to assist me because Safeway needs to bypass the gift card sales process. I purchased the first gift card for $250. The employee then began lecturing me when I told him I wanted to add another $250 on the second gift card, he mentioned that it was too large of a purchase and said the transaction would not go through because I wanted to put another $250 on the second gift card. I told him that was fine and suggested that he simply ring up the second gift card as a separate transaction. Instead, he continued bringing up fraud and warning me about fraudulent gift card transactions. I explained that whatever fraudulent activity may have occurred at the store had nothing to do with me or my legitimate purchase. I understand that employees need to be cautious about fraud, but that does not justify treating a paying customer as though they are doing something suspicious or criminal. The employee's tone was condescending, and his approach demonstrated very poor customer service. There was no reason for him to lecture me or make assumptions about my intentions simply because I was purchasing gift cards. Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing gift cards from this location in the future.

  There is one thing that made me very Happy to see. The parking lot main area is now COVERED! YES IT IS! This is great for not having your car be an oven when your done shopping and you will not get wet loading your car with groceries!The parking lot is a good size, and they have security watching the area also.! Unfortunately, nothing jumped out at me in the store. It was clean, well stocked, average prices, and friendly. employees.

  The shopping cart wheels will lock up if you park on the East side of the parking lot. So you end up having to drag the cart to your car or just abandoning it in the middle of the lot.
