  The service is always fast and friendly. Delicious fresh off the grill chicken seasoned well. We always get the large mac and cheese to share which is cheesy and creamy. The beans were okay but probably not something we would get again though.

  Look, we all have those days where we want to eat like a Trojan but our schedule feels more like a 10-mile hike. When I'm in Lawndale and need something that won’t derail my fitness goals, I head straight to the El Pollo Loco on Hawthorne Blvd. It’s the perfect “I’m trying to be healthy” compromise. Their fire-grilled chicken has that smoky char that hits the spot, especially when I'm loading up on the Double Chicken Avocado Salad to keep my energy up for design projects. Right now, they’ve brought back the shrimp for a limited time—the Baja Shrimp Tostada is a great switch-up if you're bored of the bird.
