I’ve been shopping at this Vons for years, and I’m leaving this review as constructive criticism because I genuinely think this location needs some attention and improvement. As one of the few convenient full-service grocery options for Hacienda Heights residents, I feel our community deserves better. Over my last several visits, I’ve noticed that the store feels increasingly dated and, unfortunately, not as clean as I would expect from a grocery store. In particular, the checkout areas—including the conveyor belts where customers place their groceries—often look dirty, dusty, and worn. When I’m purchasing food that I’m taking home and putting in my refrigerator or pantry, I want to feel confident that the surfaces my groceries are touching are being kept clean and sanitary. The checkout stations could really use a thorough cleaning, maintenance, and possibly replacement or updating. Customer service could also be improved. On one recent visit, an item I purchased the packaging was coming apart & needed a bag simply to carry it properly. In a situation like that, I don’t think a customer should be charged for a bag, especially when it’s needed because of the condition of the item. More importantly, I felt the situation could have been handled with a little more courtesy. I’ve also had interactions with an older gentleman working in the deli who, in my experience, can come across as unnecessarily rude. I understand that retail employees deal with a lot, and I don’t expect perfection, but basic courtesy and helpful customer service make a significant difference.

Customers consistently praise this grocery store for its good selection of items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, and its clean, well-arranged layout. Reviewers also highlight the great deals and the potential for savings through their app. Some reviews mention the service can be unhelpful.

The store has a good selection of groceries, including fresh produce, and I was able to find most of the items I was looking for. The aisles were reasonably organized, and the store was easy to navigate.
