  Today I was shopping at Vons in Grover Beach this morning for a client and she needed turkey bacon. They were out of the bacon but an employee pulled a huge cart of bacon and other food boxes for restocking..so I kindly let him know the bacon I needed was empty and asked if he had any new boxes of it on the cart. Well he didnt even offer to help me he just coldly said I dont know and he grabbed a box and started to open it but then walked off when I wouldnt leave. This type of behavior from an employee is unacceptable and highly disrespectful. I've been shopping in this store once a week for my client for the past 9 months. This incident occurred on the morning of 7/6/2026 around 10:30 am. Shame on Vons for hiring lazy disrespectful employees

  Affordable and overall a good experience. if your a member you get member discounts that bring down the overall cost much LESS. Great service employees are kind and it's my personal favorite grocery store to shop at. I have been going for 4 years still haven't had a single problem. Great, thanks!

  Great produce, tons of inventory. Clean and easy to find groceries. They were super busy with long lines for check out and they opened up more registers to quickly get customers moving.

  I wish they would turn down the volume on TV (or music). It's loud enough with people yelling about sports. It doesn't NEED TO BE even louder with Mexican soccer music and announcers. I don't even speak Spanish that well. The loud Spanish announcer for soccer is torture.

  Standard grocery store with a bakery and deli, nice if you need food on the run or just do not want to cook. I almost always check the deli for the hot food so I can skip cooking after work. Weekly deals make it worth stopping in once a week to see what is a good sale. The $5 Friday deals are worth checking out every week as you can get some great bargains then. The staff at the self check out is the absolute highlight of my week as she always smiles and greets us. The bakery is hit or miss as sometimes they are out of a product like brownies and most of the time they are willing to get some out of the back for my uncle who does not get out often. Parking is safe and often plenty of space. Management is friendly and helpful when a product is missing or discontinued. We love our local Vons staff and store as it is always clean and organized. The only downside is how corporate changes the store layout as soon as you learn where your favorite products are, they rearrange all the shelves in the store. We love how if you cannot find something, the staff are always kind enough to show you where to find what you are looking for. If you come at the right time you can buy fresh baked French bread 🥖 from the bakery and get some hummus of you favorite flavor to dip it in for a quick meal.
