I am just visiting my kids and grandkids and what I observed today at the store was very upsetting. The older lady whose order was being rung up stated she was legally blind and it will take awhile for her order. No problem. I can be patient but she kept telling the cashier that the prices were incorrect. I had my app open and I can assure that many items were priced higher than she was telling the cashier. He changed the prices and you could see he was stressed and there were long lines and she questioned the prices of most every item. The 12 pack of Lipton green citrus tea was $10.99 in the app, she told the cashier it was $4.99.Starbucks creamer...she said 1.99 each, they were really $2.99. Pint ice creams she said were $1.99 for Ben & Jerry's and Haagen Dazs. In the app they were $6.99 & $5.99 and she had at least six of them There were many more items. She did have a rain check for something. She had a full cart above and below for $97.00. Everyone in line was in shock. The sad part is this hurts the community. My children have several mouths to feed and they would love to had the prices she received for her groceries. Lastly, if she is really legally blind maybe the store should have a special line for her or a manger could help her with her order. I don't understand how she is able to drive if she is legally blind.

The store seems well stocked so no complaints there. The non cashiers seem nice too. However, I will never shop at this store again, and I plan to discourage all my friends from coming here too. Every time I come and stand in line, I watch all the white customers get greeted with semi friendly small talk and the typical "how are you" from the cashiers. Today, 5/26/26 a cashier named Brittany didnt even acknowledge me. Not even a hello. I tried asking how her day was and was ignored. She loaded my bag and semi tossed it in my direction making me feel uncomfortable. I have a European Spanish background and look slightly darker than 99% of Nevada County. This isn't the first time this has happened at this store. The numerous customers in front and after me get a greeting but I dont. This employee needs a firm lesson on customer interaction and no discrimination behaviors. I rarely write bad reviews but this one was needed. I plan to contact the Safeway Corperation too. I came back inside to look for a manager but everyone was too busy to check in with me.
