  We loved the food, we order the hamburger and the shrimp fingers. sauces, ketchup, and potato chips are also homemade which makes it a plus 10 :))

  I'm so glad I got to try Uncle Mac's for a late lunch today. The staff is very pleasant, professional, and passionate about good food, you can tell. We enjoyed their special catfish and chips, their fish sandwich, and a fish taco a la carte. Everything was so fresh and well seasoned! We were not expecting the side of chips to be like a cross between a potato chip and French fry, crispy, thick-cut, and fluffy inside. Having three delicious sauces to choose from was also a treat. Needless to say, we left hefty and happy. We can't wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!

  Having spent over $100 for my meal, I was extremely disappointed with the food quality and flavour at Uncle Mac’s Kitchen. The fish in the fish and chips were heavily battered – in reality, the fish inside the batter was quite small but appeared larger with the batter. The restaurant claimed the fish to be Alaskan Cod but it is really Swai (an inexpensive, farm-raised fish from Vietnam). The chips were not seasoned – any fried items should be lightly dusted in salt upon coming out from the fryer (basic cooking 101). Both the Grilled Salmon and Swai Plates with Spicy Garlic Butter were overcooked and extremely subtle in flavour. The Garlic Noodles was chalky in texture and bland. Instead of using heavy cream to thicken the sauce, Uncle Mac chose to use the inexpensive route of a flour roux. The mandatory side is an inexpensive boiled and flavourless vegetables consisting of carrots, zucchini and cabbage with a small piece of toast. The Tom Yum Sidewinder Fries was decent in flavour but is highway robbery at $7.00 for such a small order! Overall, I will not return to Uncle Mac’s Kitchen. The restaurant was clean and the staff extremely friendly with ample parking in the back parking lot.

  Food was amazing. I ordered my food online for pickup. Staff were friendly and food was done before the expected time. I ordered the fried trout with the garlic noodles with a side of fried shrimp. I will definitely be back to try other items in the menu.

  I always get the salmon fish plate with spicy garlic sauce and the garlic noodles. My wife always gets the fish burger. Both are delicious but we also had the whole fried fish and the fish tacos. Also excellent. I heard the shrimp burger is great, but I'll save that for another time. Don't sleep on this place. Has become our go to spot for seafood. They don't overcook the fish, and the portions feel like a hearty meal.
