  The Qabuli and service are not as good as they used to be. The food quality has gone down, the service is poor, and the staff’s behavior is very rude

  The Triple Kabob was okay, But the Sheeryakh was a huge disappointment. The menu describes it with vanilla ice cream, which is misleading because Sheeryakh and vanilla ice cream are two completely different desserts. What I received was just regular vanilla ice cream, not authentic Sheeryakh. I asked to speak with the manager, but the staff refused, saying no manager was available, and I was still charged for one of the Sheeryakh. Very disappointing customer service.

  The potato Bolani and Chicken Kebab were absolutely delicious and are a must-try. Both dishes were flavorful, perfectly prepared. The overall food quality and experience were excellent. Highly recommended!

  Overall Rating: 4.5/5 If you are looking for authentic, flavorful, and incredibly generous portions of Afghan food in Fremont, De Afghanan Cuisine is an absolute must-visit. The quality of the food stands tall alongside the massive quantity. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: Butternut Squash Bolani The Good: The portion size is huge, making it more than enough for two people to share. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and I deeply appreciated that it wasn't greasy at all. It comes with a side of yogurt that complements it perfectly. The Catch: I felt the filling itself was a bit sparse inside the dough. Pro Tip: Don't skip the fresh cilantro chutney sitting on every table; it pairs beautifully with the bolani! Triple Kabob (Murgh, Teka, and Chaplee Kabob) This platter gives you a taste of everything: chicken (Murgh), beef (Teka), and grilled ground sirloin (Chaplee). The meat was exceptionally tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It comes with a side of salad, bread, and your choice of rice (white or Afghan brown, which is seasoned white rice). We opted for the white rice, and it was excellent. Ambience and Service The service was perfectly fine, but the ambience could use a little updating. A heads-up for warm days: the dining room can get really hot. As the kitchen fired up more orders, the heat quickly drifted into the seating area, which is why they kept the doors open. Luckily, we finished our meal right before we started getting toasted ourselves! They do have outdoor seating if you prefer to catch a breeze. Know Before You Go (Important Side Notes) Don't go to the wrong spot: De Afghanan Kabob House nearby is cash-only and takeout-only. If you want a sit-down meal and prefer to pay with a credit card, make sure you go to De Afghanan Cuisine. Parking: Street parking is pretty limited, but there is a convenient lot located right between the takeout and dine-in locations. Bottom Line: Incredible food that doesn't compromise on quality just because they give you a mountain of it. We will definitely be back!
