I’ve been going to Chipotle for roughly 10 years, and this was easily one of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had at one of their restaurants. I visited this location today, August 9, 2026, at approximately 2:15 p.m. While my burrito was being made, I asked for extra rice. The employee gave me approximately one additional scoop. At no point when I asked for the extra rice did she tell me there would be an additional charge for it. Later, I asked for guacamole and another premium add on. The employee immediately informed me that those items would cost extra. I told her I understood and that I still wanted them. That part was completely fine. What happened afterward was not. After my burrito had already been made, I was suddenly told that because my burrito was “so big,” I was going to be charged an additional $1.75 for the extra rice. I was genuinely confused. In approximately 10 years of eating at Chipotle, I have never been charged extra simply because an employee decided my burrito was too large. I have also never been told that asking for one additional scoop of rice automatically results in an additional $1.75 charge. More importantly, nobody disclosed this alleged charge when I actually requested the rice. That is what bothered me the most. If an ingredient carries an additional charge, tell the customer BEFORE adding it to their food. That is exactly what this employee did with the guacamole and premium add on. She told me they cost extra, I agreed to the price, and she added them. Why wasn't the same thing done with the rice? You cannot add something after I request it, finish making the entire burrito, and then suddenly announce an additional charge that was never disclosed when I ordered it. And saying the burrito is “so big” is not an explanation of a pricing policy. If this location has a specific policy stating that a certain amount of rice results in an additional $1.75 charge, that policy should be clearly communicated to customers before the additional portion is added. I want to be clear that this is not about being unable or unwilling to pay $1.75. The burrito itself was very large, and I have no problem paying legitimate additional charges. I willingly paid for the premium additions because those charges were communicated to me beforehand. This is about transparency and consistency. Customers should know what they are being charged for before the charge is added, especially when an employee is making up the order directly in front of them. I would genuinely like management or Chipotle corporate to clarify: Is one additional scoop of rice now a $1.75 charge? If so, where is that pricing policy communicated to customers? Is the charge based on the amount of rice requested, or is an employee allowed to decide that a burrito has become “too big” and apply an additional charge afterward? And why was I not informed of the charge when I requested the extra rice? I’ve been a Chipotle customer for about a decade, which is exactly why this interaction stood out so much. Unfortunately, after this experience, I do not plan on returning to this particular location.

Literally the slowest chipotle. They will penny pinch with staff and only have one employee at the line at all times. Then that same employee does the register while the other employees are doing god knows what. Do not come here if you don’t feel like waiting +20 minutes at any given time.

Portion sizes are very inconsistent. Poor staffing and the quesadilla machine always breaks. Location also tends to run out of straws and ice and they dont even let you know at the front so I have been surprised by this after already buying a drink. Heavvy crowds but as mentioned before usually only one person at the front line.

The staff here are rude and rush you even when no one else is in line. They don’t care to explain new menu items when asked and skimp out on everything even the free items. When I came here around 3pm they were out of everything of almost everything and didn’t bother refilling.
