I was in the area for my son’s baseball tournament and needed a quick bite to eat between games. I’m so glad I found this place! The pizza was fire! The crust was perfect, the sauce was packed with flavor, and they definitely didn’t skimp on the cheese or pepperoni.
The service was quick and friendly. When they found out I was a first-time customer, the owner even came out and introduced himself, which was a really nice personal touch.
I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend the pepperoni pizza! 🍕🔥
My girlfriend and I shared a Submarine Sub and we got a Slice of Cheese cake. It was outstanding, the sub had great flavor and tasted so fresh and the cheesecake was soft and perfect. The service was amazing and quick.
A bit of a letdown. This place is right by my house, so I was excited to hopefully find a new go-to pizza spot. Unfortunately— as another guest complained over the phone into the restaurant WHILST I was waiting for my pizza— it was simply undercooked. I ordered online and asked for thin crust, which I also barely received by some metrics. I understand only one type of crust might be possible, but it was not double cut nor well done, both requests made in addition. I also chose the $1.25 add-charge to have my pizza topped with basil, which I did not receive.
When I was there picking up the piece, I felt pity this place. It looked supremely slow, past its heyday, and somewhere that is someone’s dream that is constantly looking for a success that will not come. I wanted a good experience. I saw they had a few select beers on tap, 2 TVs being misused for some unentertaining bullshit and a singular couple in the corner enjoying an early dinner. Somewhere to come back with friends, a spot to show locally, anything. And to some degree, it still has the capacity to be that. Take more time to honor your craft. Hire someone predictable. Pizza isn’t hard. It’s closely an exact science. An undercooked pizza from a proclaimed Italian restaurant with so many years in the business feels like insanity.
Well, as directed by a 3 month old reply to an ill interaction on Google Reviews, Pizza D’Z is under new management and staffing. Now, it feels completely more feasible that despite their longstanding tenure in FV, it can suck. Go back to the drawing board. Figure out how long you need to cook a pizza. Don’t have the option for special add times on a website which can’t be accommodated. It’s a bit sloppy. Don’t auto-quote 10 minutes for a pizza when they are still undercooked after 15. Nobody wants to wallow in the foyer of this place.
Ingredients were good, and service was sweet. I will give them that. But those two only matter just as much as the prior concerns. I am more than willing to check this place out again, and I hope on better pretenses.
Great fresh pizza, if youre visiting from out of state like we are, would highly recommend choosing this place.
I got the House Special Sub and my girlfriend got the Giant Slice with Sausage and Onions it was DELICIOUS! The prices for the quality of the food was great.. only 12$ for the large sandwich that I couldn’t even finish and 11$ for the giant slice. Love the atmosphere and the service was quick and friendly. Would recommend to come here and will be coming back.
