Every time I visit southern California, I have to make a stop at Naugles Tacos & Burgers to pick up their famous cheese burrito! When I was in high school in Whittier, CA in 1984, my friends and I would go to our local Naugles to gorge ourselves on cheese burritos with red or green sauce, fries, and bun tacos, usually after a party we had all attended. Unfortunately, Naugles disappeared after Del Taco restaurant bought them out and closed all the Naugles locations. In the 2015, Naugles won a trademark case for the Naugles name and opened up this Fountain Valley Naugles location. It's in a weird location of a small industrial area, but is very close to freeways and easy to get there. If you've ever had a Naugles cheese burrito, drive to this location and relive the past because the food tastes EXACTLY the same! My personal favorite is a cheese burrito with green sauce and a bun taco. If you've never had a cheese burrito, you definitely need to try one, and, no, it's not a simple quesadilla; a cheese burrito is exactly as the name implies, a regular rolled burrito stuffed with a lot of cheese and sauce. They are so dang tasty! And they still wrap them in foil to keep the insides lava hot. Of course, Naugles has other items to enjoy such as delicious thick bun tacos, bean and cheese cups, fries, burgers and more. I like grabbing a couple of bun tacos to go, after enjoying my cheese burritos as the bun tacos ate just as good cold from the fridge or hot in restaurant. Service is quick and they make everything as you order it. And the prices are relatively low especially when compared to all other places. The restaurant is kept clean and the staff is nice. I highly recommend a visit to Naugles. You won't be disappointed.
