I have been stopping at this store every morning before work for months to get what I need for the day. I always go in, greet the staff, and shop without any issues. However, my experience today was extremely upsetting and disappointing. I felt I was being watched and followed while shopping, which made me uncomfortable. After I paid and was leaving, I was confronted in front of other customers and essentially accused of being a thief, despite never having stolen anything from this store.
I was then told I could not come in with my purse, even though I have seen other customers with bags and I always have my purse. The situation felt humiliating and degrading, and I left feeling embarrassed and singled out. At times, I felt profiled and treated unfairly.
I will not be returning. My husband has already spoken with management, and I hope this situation is addressed appropriately, as I found the experience to be unprofessional and distressing. The experience was deeply upsetting and felt humiliating and discriminatory. I am considering my options regarding how this was handled
I was in this neighborhood and was craving some sweet bread so I passed by this Cardenas and picked up about 30 pieces of sorted mexican sweet bread and bolillos for the family. Got home and my kiddo bit into one and said it tasted bad. When Inspected it closer I seen mold on 2 of them. I ended up throwing everything away because even though bread is in diffrent trays, all the bread is still in the same glass cabinet. Since mold spreads and can be airborne, , there might of been a good chance the rest of the bread might have been infected and compromised. I hope Cardenas will do right thing by correctly disinfecting the whole area. Dissapointed I threw away $30.
