- CJCourtney JohnsonJul 27, 20262.0We hadn't been to five guys in a few years and decided to give it another chance. I don't understand why it's $15 for a burger without any sides or drinks. The burgers are not large by any means. They are Char-Broiled and tasty but not great and not worth that much money in my opinion. If you have peanut allergies they have peanuts and shells all over the restaurants for you to grab from open containers. They do have signs on the door letting you know. They also discourage people from taking them out of the restaurant for fear of being sued for causing peanut reactions. The fries were okay. When I asked for barbecue sauce they said that they thought they were out and then squeezed a tiny little bit into a sauce container that was about a quarter of an inch deep. Their menu hangs up above the registers and down on the counter. They have a sign showing you that they can make a combo. The sign doesn't tell you the difference between a little burger or a regular burger which is apparently a single pattie or a double pattie. We got two burgers, shared a small order of fries and got a cup of water and it cost more than it did for my family of four to go to In-N-Out a few days prior. The food is not bad. The service is not bad. The prices are bad for what you're getting.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
