  The food and service were great, as usual. Both the food and drink menu's have a great selection and you can't go wrong. We chose to sit out back because it was quieter. At least that was the case when we got there, but by the end it was getting difficult to have a conversation. It's a popular place and is great to watch sports, so it gets busy and crowds are expected. Just be aware that if you're looking for a place to have a nice quiet meal, you shouldn't go during peak times or you need to find someplace else. However, if you're looking for a great go-to spot for good food and drinks, plenty of sports, an indoor/outdoor experience and a fun atmosphere, then this is definitely your place and I highly recommend.

  We have been coming to union since they opened in Encinitas and have lived in Cardiff since Beir Garden was George’s or Ki’s was Fast Freddie’s. It is unfortunate how much the atmosphere has changed at the Union. Service is great as long as you don’t get one of the newer people who can be kinda robotic. It is like they are trying to be Herb and Sea ( Bring back Kealani’s and manhattan). When in reality the majority of the people in Cardiff or Enci want somewhere where they can take their family or go and have a drink and watch the games. Idk if it is new management or owners…. It’s kinda sad cause it feels like the vibe has really shifted over the course of a last year. Regardless, we will still occasionally go for the waiters and waitresses that still work there. If you’re looking for a more Encinitas/Cardiff vibe go to Breakers or las Olas, heck even Beir Garden. Union is slowly turning into another place where you can’t wear slippers and you have to have a button up.

  The server named Jennifer (blonde) is incredibly efficient and patient with our large party on the patio. Highly recommend coming here just to whiteness her professionalism.

  Great service and atmosphere. Plenty of seating. Food is not five star, decent, but 20% pricier than what it deserves. We’re up to $2.50 per wing here and three old pieces of celery.

  Best Burger ever. Executive burger is fantastic and cooked as requested! We saw the Kentucky Derby here and it was a vibe!
