  I love Safeway on Bruceville. It's a brand new store people are so friendly and they have excellent deals on the app! It's my new go to store 😁😍

  By far this Safeway store is the nicest store I’ve been into. Friendly staff and overall clean store. The aisle naming of Elk Grove city streets are very creative. Only complaint is the solicitors in the parking lot. Like others we would love to support the local events like Girl Scout cookies sale, but others are a bit annoying sometimes.

  Horrible customer service if you can even talk to someone. I try to call them because it said online that an item i want was available in store and it wasn't the last time I went so I call to confirm this time before i go. I try to talk to customer service but it just loop me back after a couple minutes waiting on the line to the start of the automatic message. Waited like 10 minute before I just try to contact another department who transfer me to customer service just to say theyre unavailable. Just horrible service all around. And keep your inventory updated so people who check to see if it available dont go to the store wasting time.

  My wife recently had a very upsetting experience at this Safeway involving an employee named Bella who was monitoring the self-checkout area. What makes this even more disappointing is that this has been our home Safeway for years, and we’ve usually had positive experiences here. While waiting in line, my wife observed Bella being polite, friendly, and respectful to the customers ahead of her. However, the moment Bella saw my wife wearing a hijab, her entire attitude changed. She began speaking to her in a condescending, rude, and dismissive tone. She was also purposefully ignoring my wife whenever she needed assistance, despite actively helping other customers around her. The difference in treatment was extremely noticeable and deeply upsetting. Bella aggressively questioned why my wife entered her member ID and started huffing and puffing while telling her to “download the app.” When my wife calmly explained that she had never used the app before, Bella became even more irritated instead of simply helping her respectfully. Things only got worse from there. When my wife asked which corn option to select at checkout, Bella incorrectly charged her $1 per corn despite the member price clearly being 10 cents each. When my wife politely pointed this out, Bella became visibly upset and more rude. We had to call her over multiple times before she finally corrected the price. No customer should ever feel singled out, ignored, disrespected, or looked down upon because of their appearance or religion. The way my wife was treated left her feeling humiliated and uncomfortable. It honestly felt discriminatory and racist. We still want to continue shopping at this Safeway because it has been our neighborhood store for years, but we sincerely hope management takes this situation seriously and addresses it appropriately. All we ask is to be treated with the same respect and kindness as every other customer, without fear of retaliation or uncomfortable interactions in the future.
