- THTrip Huxley4 days ago3.0There are two distinct aspects to TopGolf. One is the technology (cool and fun), the other is the service and corporate philosophy (troublesome and predatory). TopGolf is equal parts arcade and sports bar, with a dash of golf thrown in. As a loud, high-energy, casual outing for families or groups of friends, it can be a great time. However, the hospitality side takes a dark turn the moment you look at a menu. You see, the food and drink menus HAVE NO PRICES. When we asked our server for the cost of a drink, she nonchalantly told us to scan a QR code. In corporate terms, this is called "dynamic pricing." In human terms, it means "it depends on how much we can squeeze out of you right now." By forcing you to scan a code just to determine the price of a beer, TopGolf actively harvests your digital footprint. This includes: Device Fingerprinting: Tracking your phone model, battery level, and software to bypass standard privacy blocks. IP & Location Data: Pinpointing your geographic location and network provider. Behavioral Metadata & Cookies: Tracking how long you linger on an expensive drink, what you scroll past, and your broader internet browsing history. For the younger crowd, this data-for-disclosure trade might seem normal. For the rest of us, it walks a tightrope between exploitive and extortionary. It is corporate data mining masquerading as technological convenience, giving automated algorithms the green light to hike prices during peak hours. If this feels vaguely illegal, the state of California agrees. This exact brand of under-the-table "surveillance pricing" is currently facing major legal challenges in Sacramento via Assembly Bill 2564. Call me old-fashioned, but shouldn’t a hospitality venue have the integrity to put a fixed price on a piece of paper for a drink, rather than hiding behind a screen to test your financial tolerance? Caveat emptor.

So we ask a random employee if we could order with him and he said he would look for her. Then Sai and her backup came to our table Low-key with a attitude. Shebwas like you can mobile order if you don't see your server. If I can mobile order what use is the server for. Make it make sense.

I have the summer membership pass which has been good overall but the timing could be better. The weekday windows mostly conflict with office hours so weekdays are pretty much ruled. That leaves weekend mornings or Sunday evenings as the realistic options. Sunday evening is probably the only saving grace. That said once you get a bay and start playing, the experience is really fun. It fun playing with friends and family and I like that there are different games you can pick depending on skill level. You do not have to be a serious golfer to enjoy it which makes it easy for everyone to participate. The food is okay. Not the main reason to come here but good enough while you are playing. just wish the membership timing had a little more flexibility for people who cannot realistically use it during weekday work hours

Instead of golfing, we hung out with food, drinks, foosball, and shuffleboard. Brandon and Denver provided excellent service and were so sweet and wonderful with my son. Outstanding hospitality, we will definitely be back to see them!

None of us knew what were doing but had fun doing it anyway. Just find some videos online about posture and how to hold your club and how to swing and then just come in and have fun. We were on the second floor and I think its the nest floor to be on. FYI, We showed up early and tried to request an earlier time than the time I originally booked, but the lady that checked us in, mentioned that if we took an earlier slot, we'd be on the ground level. She set the second level was the best, and she suggested.We just hang out at the bar and wait for our reservation. Im glad we did wait, people coming in behind me were requesting upper levels, and there was a three hour wait for 2nd and 3rd floor.
