  I’m Cuban and grew up eating Cuban food at home, in Chicago, and in Miami. I brought family here when visiting family in the area. The bread basket & cuban sandwich were good but everything else was really not good: arroz con camarones (rice mushy, flavorless, shrimp very over cooked), caldo gallego (just bad), ropa vieja (dry, not well seasoned), croquetas tasted Iike Goya. This place has 4.5 stars so maybe we went on an off night. I didn’t read any reviews before going.

  I was looking for Cuban food and live in Altadena. Havana's popped up and I was all in. I love Yuca, lechon and topa vieja. This was amazing food and all that food pictured was around $48 dollars. We had water but I saw someone with a tall drink which looked like a delicious Mojito. Next time for sure I will get that drink. The water actually tasted great and I am picky about water. The food was so good. They start you out with a free basket of this warm seared sliced bread withayne butter grilled on it. I don't know but it was so tasty. We ended up taking food home because it was so much meat. I love when the black beans are in a separate cup. I portion my bean to rice ratio. I am definitely going back. For the price the food and it is such a chill family vibe that seems like a hidden local secret. I am so glad I found it.
