  Tacos Marlyn El Centro is a fantastic spot for fresh, flavorful seafood tacos. The fish and shrimp tacos are delicious, with crispy, tasty fish and plenty of fresh toppings, salsa, and lime to customize every bite. The food comes out quickly, the service is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. A great casual place for a satisfying meal in El Centro—definitely worth visiting if you love fish tacos!

  I am astonished this place has a 4.5 average on Google Maps! I'm not a vegetarian but my travel companion was. When we asked if they had any veg items we got a blank and not especially friendly look and the answer "No," they didn't. I followed up (my incredulity probably obvious on my face) to ask if they could serve any item with just beans. No. An absurd answer on its face. I understand of course they specialize in fish and meat tacos etc. But I've enjoyed countless Mexican restaurants across the entire American Southwest (and much of Mexico) and have literally never before encountered one unwilling to serve a simple vegetarian (bean) taco or other item (flauta, tostada, whatever). We would have been happy and the restaurant would have made more money since obviously they could charge (if off-menu) the same price as a typical meat item for a simple bean taco ... which is exactly what the modest place next door did for us after we left feeling quite puzzled and disappointed.
