Quaint spot right on the side of the road. Had dinner there and was delicious. Highly recommend anything with the “mahogany sauce.” Staff were very nice to us because we showed up near closing time.

Had a late lunch/early dinner here after exploring around the area. We were fascinated by the decorations and classic style and the warm service. We ordered Ham & Swiss Cheese Sandwich Cape Fear Burger & Fries Sandwich 2 Bella Rosa Organic Coffee Overall Total: $48.40 Overall, we enjoyed the food we had. We only had to wait a little bit for the coffee as we understand perhaps it's quite late to have coffee at that time. Happy we stopped and tried their dishes.

Driving up Highway 116 toward the Sonoma Coast near Jenner, I wasn’t expecting much more than a scenic drive and a simple place to pause along the way. Small towns often offer charm, but not always memorable meals. That assumption shifted when I stopped in Duncans Mills. A local had recommended Cape Fear Cafe, and I decided to take the suggestion. What I found was more than just a convenient stop—it was a genuinely delightful experience. The food was excellent, thoughtfully prepared and satisfying in a way that lingers. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere carried that rare balance of warmth and ease that invites you to slow down. There’s something quietly special about dining in small towns. Perhaps it’s the intention behind the food, or the sense of community woven into the space. Cape Fear Cafe captures that feeling beautifully. It stands out as one of those places that turns a simple drive into a memorable pause. If you’re travelling along Highway 116, it’s well worth stopping here. Cape Fear Cafe offers not just a meal, but a moment of rest and presence within the rhythm of the journey.

I ordered a pickup meal, clam chowder and crab+salmon cakes. The order was ready when I scheduled it and the food was wonderful! I got enough food to two meals and I enjoyed everything twice.
